localocare.com case study: Google Maps tool

Clinics, cafés, restaurants and shops are found on Google Maps first, but owners cannot see where they rank a few streets away, which reviews look fake, or what to change. The tool had to show this in a minute, without a Google password, and only suggest methods Google allows.

A Google Maps tool for local businesses: free check, rank heatmap, review monitor and fix plan.

What we built

  • A free check from the business name and city, with no sign-up: the profile score, the three places Google shows instead, and the top three fixes
  • A geo-grid rank map: Google Maps results from 25 points within 2 km of the business, shown as a heatmap, with weekly tracking for up to three searches
  • 11 profile checks on basics, reviews and photos, each compared with the three places Google shows first nearby
  • A review monitor with a fake-review filter built on explainable rules, such as a new account, no other reviews or many one-star reviews in a short time; each flag shows its reasons
  • AI reply drafts for new reviews and a monthly fix plan with texts to paste, in English, Polish or Thai
  • Passwordless login by email link, a background worker for scans, review checks, plans and weekly email summaries

What we would do next

Open the free check to real businesses, compare the first real scans with what owners see on their phones, and add a bot check to the free-check and login forms.
