seosft.com case study: website SEO audit SaaS

Small businesses and agencies need to know why their pages do not rank, without a large SEO suite or 300 warnings. The audit had to check every page, not only the home page, turn the result into a short list of fixes in plain English, and keep the AI cost of a free audit very low.

A website SEO audit with 10 checks and a fix plan ranked by effect, each fix with an AI prompt.

What we built

  • A crawler that reads every page (title, description, canonical, robots rules, headings, main text) and a separate worker process that runs the audit from a queue
  • Ten checks in four groups: indexability, page speed, AI search, tracking, content, HTML basics, structured data, site structure, E-E-A-T and competition; the Free plan runs 8 of the 10
  • Measured checks computed in code at no model cost; the AI review checks use a cheap model on the Free plan and stronger models only on paid plans, with structured outputs validated before use
  • One action plan: every problem from every check ranked by its effect on Google Search, then by effort, with steps for each fix
  • A ready "Fix it with AI" prompt for every fix that tells the assistant not to invent facts and to mark what you must fill in; it opens filled in for ChatGPT and Claude
  • A full sample report at /demo for a fictional dental clinic, so visitors see exactly what they get before they start
  • Free, Pro and Agency plans with page limits per audit, PDF export and audits compared over time

What we would do next

Add checks only when they change what people fix, and keep the fix prompts current as AI search changes.
